[Is a harness required for confined space entry?]

Harness Requirements for Entry D94-02-046

29 CFR 1910.146(k)(3) requires a chest or a full body harness to be worn by each authorized entrant to a permit required confined space, unless retrieval equipment would increase the risk of the entry or not contribute to the rescue of the entrant. Wristlets are permitted if a harness is infeasible or if the employer can demonstrate that wristlets are safer.
